Dear [MP name], I am a constituent in [your area] writing to ask you to act with urgency on Iran. Since 30 December 2025, the Islamic Republic has carried out a state massacre of its own people. Verified deaths are already above 7,000 (HRANA, The Crimson Winter); reporting from The Guardian, Time and Iran International credibly places the figure above 30,000. The orders came from Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and were executed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Basij. The European Union and Ukraine have already designated the IRGC as a terrorist organisation. The Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, has committed to doing the same. Britain is now the outlier — and every month of delay costs lives, including British safety: MI5 and the Metropolitan Police have publicly disclosed multiple IRGC-linked plots on UK soil. I am asking you to: 1. Press the Government, publicly and in the House, to proscribe the IRGC in full and without further delay, and to set out a clear timetable for doing so. 2. Stand with our American and European allies on Iran. Give serious consideration to Britain joining their pressure — including, where lawful and where requested, with British military support — to help the Iranian people free themselves from this regime. We are asking you to think about it carefully, not to commit lightly. 3. Back stronger named sanctions on regime officials, and safe routes for those fleeing persecution. 4. Speak out publicly for the Iranian people's movement for Woman, Life, Freedom (Zan, Zendegi, Azadi). Many of us in [your area] and across Yorkshire — Iranians and British neighbours — gather every Sunday from 12pm to 2pm outside Sheffield City Hall.
